A typical hot and sunny weekend is in store for Fresno. Summer Sweat block party invites residents of all ages to celebrate the heat and our growing downtown. On Saturday, 20+ bands will perform on three different stages, food, beer, art, and other activities. The goal is to get the community together and further nurture our local music culture. The block party takes place in/around Peeve’s Public House on the Fulton Mall (map). Downtown parking is free on the weekends.
More block parties will be planned throughout Downtown. Each block party will have a new lineup and location to encourage people to become more familiarized with different parts of Downtown and bands. “Like” Summer Sweat on Facebook for updates.
Within walking distance, you can witness history in the making as volunteers participate in restoring the Expositor building. The Expositor is believed to be the oldest building in Fresno. This will take place on the Fulton Mall, between Tulare and Mariposa. In the evening, 6-9PM, the historic Warnors Center will have a flea market.
